I love any old cars and truthfully have been a GM fiend most of my life.

When I was younger, my older brother had a 289 67 Mustang Coupe AND he also had a 69 428 Cobra Jet car (wish I had that one). He moved on to heaven many years ago but I vividly recall helping him work on the Cobra Jet in our gravel driveway on 4x8 plywood - kids and their cars.... So I’ve always had a sweet spot for Mustangs, but I’ve been away from the car scene for 20+ years.

So a few weeks ago I attended the Mustang Club Of America Grand National Show and had a great time enjoying some really unbelievable vintage Mustangs. What a show, what a group!

The bug lit me up and it didn’t take me long to find one.....

I picked up this 67 a few days ago and surprised my 22 year who loves to tinker with old cars. Although it’s far from original and far from concourse it is exactly what we wanted. A fairly complete car that runs and has the potential to be a pretty nice driver. We are both excited over the car, I can’t wait to see him drive it.....

I did collision and paint work for a number of years, which is exactly what this car needs. Some detail work, body, paint and I think we will be ready to enjoy the car.

Seems like a plethora of parts available for these Vintage Mustangs which makes it fun!.... and the prices seem pretty reasonable for the items I need.

Anyway, been scouring your forum for a few days and looks like a place I’d to visit on a regular basis.

Welcome to the VMF, I bet you went to the show in Fredericksburg? You are correct there were plenty of fantastic looking cars there. What part of VA are you from?

I’ll be sure to do that... I really enjoy the build threads too!

Take something that ain’t much - turn it into something special = satisfaction..... but the real treasurer is the process in getting there.

Images preserve the build memories forever.

You won the bet grabber, it was the Fredericksburg show!

I am from Fredericksburg, so how could I miss this National event right in my own backyard!!

A ton of well done, beautiful, vintage Mustangs. The convention center was loaded with cars as well as the parking lot.

And this was all FREE to attend.

That club is doing really great stuff for the Mustang enthusiast.

Thanks for the welcome.
