I’m installing my Zray cross member. Turns out the PO did not use the proper bolts. Being Saturday and holiday weekend I was scrambling to see if I could get these bolts locally. The usual mustang shop was closed So I did a google search and found a place called the Mustang Ranch about 1.5 hours away. It is (or was) a mustang parts dealer that I was referred to by another mustang guy. Tried to call twice. Both times I got a sound that sounded like a fax machine connection. The google info gave a button to click to go to their website. So I clicked on it to see if there was another number to call. Oh my! The button was re-programmed to a hard core pornography site!!! In shock I’m desperately trying to close the browser thinking I’m going to end up on some list I don’t want to be on!

Mustang Ranch. Be careful out there!

There's more than one place called Mustang Ranch that works on cars. Which location are you talking about?

Agreed, which location? There is one near me that the PO had do close to $15k worth of work on my car prior to my purchase. Not one single thing listed in those receipts that I’ve checked has been done right. Not one. Not just a little bit wrong either, it’s like the work was done by blind monkeys wearing two left mittens. I wouldn’t go there to use their hose if my pants were on fire. YMMV of course, but that’s been my experience.

Closed a long time ago😢
EDIT--Must have been resurrected after the IRS closed it.
The Feds had it run in receivership before they auctioned it. Just any other business they think could survive an auction. My first big gig was with a company the Feds eventually put into receivership for criminal activity similar to what happened at the brothel.

The guy that bought most of the buildings (they were basically double wides) moved them down river to his existing brothel. He thought he got the name with the sale but the former owner’s kid and a manager tied it up in court. The guy that bought it finally won but it’s not in the same place.

There are two "Mustang Ranch" operations that I know of in California. The one in Santa Clara closed down shortly after one of the partners died and the one in Fresno, may or may not still be active. A guy (Whizco) who was active on VMF a number of years ago had some affiliation with the Fresno operation until he apparently went to the dark side generating considerable trouble for himself. Don't know how much of his trouble rubbed off on the business.

Kind of like whitehouse.gov vs. whitehouse.com .....one is much more visually stimulating but both are after your money

Theres way more money in porn than Mustangs. Maybe we are in the wrong hobby?

Although a 65 model mustang grows in value, while a 65 model porn star is just about at the bottom of his/her value.
