Thunderball. James Bond. After they tried to drown him by running over him with a boat. He swims ashore and gets a ride in a 65 Mustang back to his hotel.
Check the old forum. This question was asked by someone and quite a few answers were given.
My son got me into this and I'm having a ball
65 fastback, 289, 3 speed, Holly 1850, Edelbrock intake. SSB front disks in a box, Canadian Mustang "real big kit" suspension in alot of boxes,
Right now lots of boxes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
speaking of tearing or blowing up mustangs in movies... i have no idea what the name of the movie was or who was in it, but all i remember was someone drove like a 65 coupe in the "yard" of a jail and all the inmates completely destroyed the car with bats, rocks, feet, everything. It was sad to watch, i almost cried
I think that was "Lock Up" - Stalone movie
I also hate that when hollywood destroys a classic - we had gone to see "Pay it Forward" and they totalled a 65 or 6 Coupe - don't they know that that's what Toyotas or Buicks are for??
1966 GT Convertible
1969 Sportsroof (which is For Sale, by the way)
Heres a couple from the movies. How about Stephen Kings "Misery",Didn't James Caan drive a 65/66 coupe?
Commando with Arnold Swartznagger(sp),Didn't the stewardess drive a Blue 65/66 convert.
Invasion USA with Chuck Norris,I think there was another 66 convert in that one.
TV shows,"Richie Brockelman" had a red coupe(?).
Spencer for hire had the 68 gt
The convert that Arnie ripped the paaenger seat out of wasn't a Mustang. Either a Fiat or an Alpha I do not recall.
The Spenser For Hire TV show Fastback was a '65 or a '66 - hard to tell because he had a '66 grill but a '65 gas cap. I almost screamed when they wreck it at the end of one of the seasons - I wonder how many were chewed up during the TV show's run.
Don't forget Mikey Spilane's Mike Hammer '66 I6 coupe
Wasn't there a Chuck Norris Movie in which a convertible ('65/'66?) was shot up and mangled? Invasion USA? Lone Wolf McQuade?
Then there was a satellite dish commercial that a home owner sacrificed his '65/'66 convertible to a run away boulder or cement culvert pipe to keep it from smashing his satellite dish.
I thought Stephen King Movie Carrie had one of the teenagers in a '67 coupe that was mashed.
Pay it Forward (recent movie)
Capricorn 12 (bad 70's flick about a falsified mars landing)
they always blow up old stangs
All of the Bond flicks seem to have one hidden in it somewhere.
1968 Coupe, 6cyl Std, Bench Seat. Driven through 10 years of College.
