After asking you all probably a billion questions I figured you'd like to see the fruits of all your question answering skills haha. Keep in mind the kinks are not all worked out.

Its a 351c with flat tops ARP engine fasteners pretty much everywhere, I'm spinning her to a healthy 7000 rpm, it has milled 2v heads with a comp ratio of 9.5 but will soon have Aussie heads with almost 11.0 static.

The ignition system is a pertronix flamethrower 3 with an MSD blaster coil 3. It has Ford racing plug wires.

The suspension is poly bushing everywhere I could get them with grab a team front springs and 4.5 mid eye leafs with a small block to lower it just a tad more in the rear, it has premium upper and lower control arms. The front shocks are from a company in Germany, but I can't remember the name, I apologize. The rear are konis.

The brakes are big drums in the rear and wilwood cross drilled and slotted in the front with an SSBC proportioning valve, it uses manual brakes with a dual bowl master.


It puts its power through a 2001 mustang T5 that's got a clock on it for when I have to swap in a astro gear set, I'm waiting it out. The rear end is in the process of installing a set of 4.10's with a Yukon differential.

The interior is stock enough for now, with just a tach added for ease, and some gauges where the AC used to be.

For those that are going to complain about doing anything to the car, it is mine, do whatever you want to yours, but on the bright side, it started life as a 1970 mustang v6 with a c4 and ac. So not a whole lot lost.

Let me know your opinions.

Nice, I am also taking 6cyl and going with a retro Trans am look however it just a look- SCCA, hill climbs are the target now.

Looks good man. Where in sac are you? Who built the motor?
And I built it, the only thing I havent done on the car, was honing and boring. oh and the rear diff install.
APM racing engines did the balancing and honing down here. Are you from sac?

i have a maaaaaajer actually a 10 star general complaint ! :shaking::shocked: ... a 408W with the long stroke would be way better for hill climbs. lots more torque and that better for pulling up a hill. the 408W is also lighter than a stroked C. if you decide to go over the hill let us know. i went over the hill long ago and no one noticed. :shocked::shocked:

also i recomend 315 tires and fender flares. way better for the curves in the mountains.

Are you keeping the 6cyl for the hill climb? thats how my car started its life, as a 250ci 6er
Sorry about the misleading- no the car started out as a 6cyl so I am not concerned about originality because previous owner change it to an 8 cylinder(302) but it was all 4 lug brakes and suspension. I just got it swapped to 8.8 rear and 4 wheel disc.

I thought about that! haha. the cleveland had some cool factor, and I spent a bunch putting it all together (i got it as a block and a bunch of junk pieces pretty much) and no one uses them. As for the tires, I would love to fit 315's! But even on the 255's they rub when I go over big bumps, Once I can widen my rims (yes I realize they are just cragars, but I really like the way they look) I\ll be going to at least 305. besides I have manual steering, and even now starting from a dead stop is no picnic, going up in the front from 235 to wider would look, really really F'ing cool. But I want something thats going to take the mountains around home nice and be able to go grab a bite too. besides the clevie is a 1/4 wh*r& haha.


I just want it looking aggressive for the drive around. and having the power to pull out some 12's or lower, and autox on the side. All for fun, thats what I bought the car for after all.

If you're going for trans am style don't skimp on the huge hood decal! Sorry couldn't resist... Let me read through the post again and see if I can add anything useful

Haha all the input is welcome, staying away from stickers though or decals. It will be all matte black eventually. No badges or anything. Which that part is already been done. Going to sand and self etching primer the chrome trim around the windows and paint that black as well, just getting body work out of the way before I lay the coats on. Its got a qaurter size hole in the driver door and the whole outer skin on the left side door needs to be replaced.
