How can I find the paint code for 1998 to 2002 Corvette Light Pewter Metallic? I want to paint my '65 Mustang this color and need the code to give to my paint and body shop, but I'm not sure where to go for the code (I'd prefer to have the actual paint code as opposed to the color code on the door tag). Any ideas?

Burk You could go to a dealership and ask for the code or WA number it should be a four didget number then you are away. If this runs you a dead end email me I think I could in a day or two get it for you.For tomorrow is a show and shine and the chip books are out at the shop so late sunday would be the soonest I could get it.

Years ago I got the Chyrsler paint code for my 63 VW Bug from the automotive paint supplier. They had chips for all the manufacturers and lots of years. Try a local paint supplier to see if they still have this kind of info.

You mean your paint shop can't find this information for you? Why can't they ask their paint supplier?
