Hi All,

I own a 1968 Mustang Fastback GT w/ factory installed FMX transmission.
I can't find the backup switch nor the neutral safety switch on the tranny.
Is there a backup or neutral safety switch on this tranny?
If not on tranny, where can I find the switch inside the car if my car is a '69.
Anyone with a 1969 Ford Service Manual, can you pls. check.
I can't pass safety inspection if the backup light doesn't work.
BTW, the previous owner installed a shift-kit in the tranny.

Check Ford CAC letter at http://members.spree.com/sip/edrivas/68Mustang/FordLetter_800x1034.jpg.

Thanks all in advance.

It should be located where the linkage from you shifter goes into the tranny and where the kickdown rod is located. There should be two bolts holding it in. I just fixed this this weekend.

A NSS is easy to bypass. You may not have one! There should be a connector in the engine compartment on the firewall, drivers side. It may be jumpered.
