Hi, I am having trouble with the gauges on the 69 Mach 1,The car sat for a long time before I got it, it started out that the gauges wouldn't work at all (oil pressure water temp and gas gauge) then they started to work sometimes and now I have the car registered and want to drive it and they won't work at all. If I diconnect the voltage reg. on the dash I can read power going into the dash but as soon as I hook it back up the power is not there any more. What gives here? Is it the voltage reg.?

that VR i believe is a bimettalic type that goes from +12 Vs to 0 Vs which averages to +6 Vs for gauges - yours is probably more at 0 Vs and needs replacement or possibly an adjustment if you have one on '69s. my '68 Shop Manual does not show adjustment but seems like i recall seeing it mentioned on Forum. new ones are only $15 or so.
