Well, UPS just dropped off the SSB 4 piston front disc kit for my 65 fb. The parts look good, calipers and mounting brackets are black powder coated. Does anyone have any photos of what the finished conversion will look like?

If it's patterned after the original style Ford used in '65/'66 it's a complete kit and it runs around $800 or so (unless it's gone up). I seem to recall the rotor size is 10.8" but not sure anymore. I hate getting old. *G*

Oh yeah, NPD and all the other Friendly Neighborhood Mustang Parts places sells them.

The kit is complete with 11" rotors. I ordered the kit from John's Mustang in Houston, ~$900. SSB ships direct from their warehouse. In reading the instructions, teh only item that could be tricky is the requirement to cut the pushrod out of the original M/C.

BTW, these photos do not show the brake line run or the strut rod installed. The Strut rod needs to be installed before attaching the lower control arm, I had to take mine partially apart to get the strut ron in.

Thanks for the great photos Nick.
Question, since the connection for the flex line to hard line is behind the spindle and the calipers are mounted in the front, any problems with length of the flex line when turning the wheels to lock? Also, did you use the old M/C pushrod?

There is plenty of flex in my soft lines and it reaches lock to lock just fine.

As for M/C I unbolted the old, and the pushrod stayed in lpace hanging on the pedal arm, I just bolted the new one right up sliding the push rod in as I did it.

I plumbed all new pre-bent brake lines at the same time but mounted everything up in the same place. I was able to squeeze the prop valve under the distribution block and slightly forward and just had to re-bend the rear line slightly to plug into it.
