O.K., here's my proposal. We have 5 leftover letters for engine designation - B,E,I,O and V. I propose the following new designations:
B = Small block stroker motors
E = Aluminum motors
I = Anything with Alan Root in the name somewhere
O = add-ons like blowers and nitrous
V = Any combination of the above!
Just kidding. Man I'm bored................ ::
Dave
P.S.:
A=289 4V
B = Unused
C = 289 and 302 2V
D = 289 4V (64 1/2)
E = Unused
F = 260 2V and 302 2V
G = Boss 302
H = 351 2V
I = unused
J = 302 4V
K = 289 hipo
L = 250 6 cyl.
M = 351 4V
N = 429 4V thunderjet (Torinos)
O = unused
P = 390 4V (Galaxie)
Q = 428 4V
R = 428 4V ram air
S = 390 4V
T = 200 6 cyl.
U = 170 6 cyl
V = unused
W = 427 (Cougars and alledge Mustangs)
X = 390 2V
Y = 390 2V (Torinos)
Z = Boss 429
