Hi, I have a problem I put a 85??? aluminum intake from a Gt350 on my car bolted on the holley650 and fired it up runs great but has an exhaust leak in the intake where the carb mounts what do I do without an egr plate is there some other way to block it off??? I really don't want to put a plate with an egr on there and have it sticking out doing nothing. thanks John

I think they make EGR block off plates. Check Summit.

You can block the exhaust crossover passage at the intake gasket. It will slow your warmup time, and can cause fuel mixture problems in cold weather, but it will also add several horses on a hot day.

You could also take the intake to a welding shop and have the hole welded closed.

If the hole is round or can be drilled out to be round, you could use a freeze plug to block it.

Another possibility is the phenolic spacers offered by some HiPo carb shops. I believe I have seen some of these that were wide enough to cover the EGR passage.

Thanks I'll see if I can find one of those spacers that seems like the easiest thing to do at this point. John
