I couldn't restrain myself from getting new wheels and tires to show off at Hot August Nights! ::

Here's the "before" shot. Those are 14x7 '68 styled steel wheels with Dunlop GT Qualifier 225/60R14s. Click on pic for larger version. http://mach1.classic-mustang.net/~bill/WheelsBefore.jpg
It's a fairly original look, but I had a hankerin' for something a bit more special...

...and that would be this! :: These are Vintage Wheel Works Vintage 50s in 15x7 with BFG T/A 225/60SR15s. Click on pic for larger version.

I'm loving it! A big thanks to the Tire Rack who had the tires here in one day! Also thanks to our own Billgear at Street or Track who made sure that I had the wheels in plenty of time for HAN. They came in two days after I ordered them!

I think that it looks great too. But I do not see a center cap on either wheel. :: But I did see the drink sitting on top of the SUV. :: So did you have to get the SWMBO permission to buy those rims. ;) Oh that is right you gave her the boot :p you can buy whatever you want for sLime. :: fd

Looks good.

Does it ride any different with the bigger wheels and tires? Is your speedo off now ;)?

And wash that blue crap off the white lettering, comes off with soap and water..... ::

Dave, it does seem to ride on a more stable 'track'. I guess that's because it's a bit wider? and...OOPS!... I forgot about the speedo being off. I'll do a circumference check and project how far off....

Gee, do I have to wash the blue stuff off??? :( ;) that was a quickie after photo as soon as I got them mounted on the car. I'm going back to scrub and dress them today.... ::

Now if we can only do something about that color....... :: ::

Just kidding. The wheels and tires really do make it look more classic and clean looking. Great choice.
