doesn't it mean that its a fast back with 2 bucket seats in the back instead of a bench in the back like most cars have?

The first 2 was the seats up front. In Europe, they had sports cars that did not have a real back seat, but if you lifted up some panels, there was cotton ticking or foam underneath. It was not really a seat, but you could sit on it, Soooo, it was sold as a 2 seater for tax purposes (European taxes are MURDER) but you could, in a jam, or even permanently carry an extra 2 ( + 2)
