Have been lurking for a short while here and thought it time that I joined.

What type of grease do you guys use on ball joints and tie rod ends?

Welcome Mike, you have joined a great group of people and will benefit from their collective experience.

I use Mobil 1 grease, it is more expensive that nearly all the others but since it is what I use on our Kubota tractor it was already loaded in the grease gun. Any chassis grease sold by the tube in your local parts store will work just as well.

Make sure you check for grease fittings on the ends of the upper control arm shafts. These fittings were not installed at the factory but may have been added by the pervious owner (here after known as PO). If these shafts are dry the car will squeak with each and every up and down motion, this can get very annoying.

You may want to check the u joints in your driveshaft. Most aftermarket u joints have grease fittings in them.
