Thanks for hanging on to the transmission as long as you did. Great to finally meet you. I made it from Austin to Dallas at rush hour with only one small slosh of tranny fluid to wipe up--amazing.

BTW, do I need an aftermarket 28 oz flywheel? I am guessing that neither the current '66 289 auto flywheel nor a spare 50 oz 5.0 flywheel will work for the 289 and AOD combination.

VMFers are great folks. Again, good talking Mustangs with you, Alton.

Paul, you need a 164 tooth, 28oz flywheel. This is from B&M:
"50237 '77-'82 C4 - 289, 302, 351 with 164 tooth ring gear, 11.4" b.c. 28.2in. oz balance weight"
$63.95 from Summit Racing.

I have a new unit from Pioneer Automotive to sell for $30. I bought it with my rotating assembly.

Alton
