My bumper guards always bothered me. They seemed to point outward, not straight forward.

An air conditioner job required me to remove the bumper guards when I removed the lower valance. I noticed, when reinstalling the bumper guards, that the last person who put them on had the two sides swapped. They fit when swapped, but only if you splay them outward. When I put them on the correct side, my "buck teeth" went away and they line up wonderfully. (They're well-marked, which makes it even more frustrating!)

If your bumper guards aren't very well aligned, consider swapping them. Best four bolt fix I've come across.

I've always liked the look of the '65-'66 Bumper Guards....(When properly installed)... They are very subtle..
