I recently replaced my upper ball joints on my 67. I looked and they had no zerk fittings at all, on both. I thought it looked funny, but am now wondering if this is right??? There were no zerks in the bags, only mounting hardware. Is this a new design that doesn't require grease???

I am going to call the store that sold them to me, however I don't have much faith in the counter people...most have never worked on a front end.

On the Mustang upper balljoints, these are the
options, as supplied by just one manufacturer
in the aftermarket-
1) grease fitting in the "head"
2) grease fitting in the plate
3) no grease fitting provision at all

Seems like there was a 4th, but I can't recall
what it was.
They seem to be totally indescriminate and you
can't tell from the boxes.... we opened all
boxes to make sure the fitting locations matched
where we needed them.

There are no grease fittings on original control arms, unfortunately.

Laurie, you may have mis read my post. I was inquiring as to the ball joints that I replaced, and not the UCA control arm shaft. Thanks
