Maybe he meant to say it's a '68 Mach 1.

I'm betting it's a stolen car that someone stuck 68 tags on so that they could sell it. Run away fast from this auction.

You are bidding on Ford Mustang that has a body of a 1970 Mach I with a frame and title of a 1968 Mustang
VIN: 8T01T225612

Translates to

Year: 8 1968
Plant: T Metuchen, NJ
Body Series: 01 2 Door Hardtop
Engine: T 200 1v I6
Unit: 225612 225612

Funny though, it must have been one of the special rare 68's that came with a frame ::

I emailed the guy, and this is the response:

THE TITLE IS FOR THE FRAME THAT IS A 1968. THE ONLY OTHER NUMBER IS 0T144382 AND WHICH IS UNDER THE FENDER APRON. THE BOY PUT THE BODY ON THE FRAME. DMV SAID THAT IS DONE ALOT.

Either has not a clue, or he has an abandoned car (stolen car) that he cannot get a title, and is trying to pawn it off on someone else.

Any takers until it is shut down?
