Welcome to VMF. This issue has been discussed recently on the forum. There
may be lack of enthusiasm to jump on it again. Someone may suggest how you can
find this using search, I'm not good at it myself!
I will say that if you cause some interest by saying what Mustang you have
and fill out your profile just a little it may be helpful!

It is a special nut. It is available from AMK, and other Mustang suppliers. It has a sheet metal mount it sits in to hold it to the rocker.

It should look like this when installed. The area around the hole has to be flat for it to stay in. Typically the hole gets beatenup when the old clip is removed.

starting with the clip tipped at an angle insert the single prong opposite the side that doesn't have a prong into the hole. Then push the rest in flat. It may help if you screw a bolt into the clip.
