Hi,

I want to purchase a digital camcoder soon. I want to record the Mustang before the new exhaust system is installed so I can have Before and After video clips of the exhaust system. I don't want an expensive digital camcorder, I just want something that will get the job done. I would like to post the videos for everyone to see.

What are some good digital camcorders to consider?

Thanks,

Justin ::

IF you want somethign that can take short videos I am very satisfied with Canon's G2 Digital Camera. Not only does it take awesome digital pictures but takes decent digital video. link:

Here's a link to a quick movie i did in my 72 with the Cannon g2 (it's small because it's in web format, but the full video is big and very clear, approx 3 mb->1+ minutes):

We also for a short time had I belive this Digital Camcorder (my dad lost his job a week later and we returned it) http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?id=1051826092146&skuId=5227854&type=product&productCategoryId=cat04015

it worked really well and easily downloaded great video.

I use an olympus 490Z and love it. Huge pics - crystal clear. One of the most unobvious features is the type of zoom the cameras have. Digital zoom is not as good as optical zoom. Optical zoom means the lens does the work and you still maintain the clarity. Digital zoom just uses software to blow up the picture, and your PC can do that after the pic is taken...but expect fuzziness on that kind of zoom. So, when you see 10x zoom...make sure of what you are getting.

Mine was $350, but that was 2 and a half years ago....and I'd buy Olympus all over again. Had this guy fishing while it rained on us, been dropped by the kids twice - taken a real beating and no problems
