A buddy of mine has a 1969 Galaxy vert and we are trying to decode the engine tag. Can anybody help us out?

Engine ID on the galaxy.
The stock ford tag shows 390 69 11
86 K311 S
What we know so far is
it's a 1969 390
Don't know what the 86 or K311 S stands for or the 11 either.

I think the 11 is most likely the engine change level-11. the 311 according to my references is the engine code number, which according to my sheet is for a F2 ( 2100 carb equipped) 390 , vin code Y or H.You might try the FoMoCo.com website for more info.
