This is what I tried to cure on my summer vacation.

9 AM to present and back at it at 8 AM tomorrow.

MSBLAST, a new virus worm, is propagating throughout XXXXXX. Symptoms of this virus include:
* A computer that constantly reboots itself
* SVCHOST.exe errors
* "Linking" or OLE errors in Word and Excel
* Loss of the ability to use the Clipboard (i.e. cut-and-paste and paste options disappear from menu)
* Inability to perform manual virus scan

I got hit by the virus, too. Following the advice of my ISP, I set a firewall, then was able to go to the Microsoft website and download their patch. After installing that, I went to the Symantec website and downloaded a removal tool that seems to have removed the virus.

I guess it's time to take virus scanning software more seriously. :p

What you really need is Open VMS. Now that's an OS!

Ya gotta love Unix!
I agree, but he problem for me was that they guy in the next office got it, and he and 1 other put out enough traffic to clog the router to the subnet we are on.

Then Unix will crawl :( Not my happiest day.
