Found a "running" 6cyl, 1969 El Camino for $550.00, owner tells me that most mechanical work is done, just need body work, I'm thinking this could be a good buy now sell after some work later project. NADA guide lists them around $3500 for a running car with lots of work left to do. What do you think??? Thanks

FWIW I had a 68 327 elcamino that was one of the best cars I ever owned. If it's not just a pile of rust how can you go wrong, they are popular.

I'm thinking for $550 it makes it a pretty good project for a 454 , I do have a Ford 429 in the garage, but I think putting it there might PO some purists....

I like late 60's to early 70's El Caminos. But then again, I like just about any old car or truck. If the body is not too far gone, you can't lose at that price.
