BTW, you can re-size your pic since that one's pretty big....the tools are on your album page....

I'd been following "some" of your advice to others. Left out the tail though didn't I. Thanks

Thanks, I'm feeling empowered enough to consider a web site now! COOL

Mainly, they load fast because of small file sizes....I shoot all my own pix with a high resolution digital camera and save them as uncompressed TIFF files...

I process, color correct and size the pix in Photoshop and covert them to JPG in Graphic Converter, which allows me to control the JPG compression protocols....thus, a 2.5 MB raw picture ends up cropped, gamma and color corrected and compressed down to a 20-50K file....even smaller for the bio and sig pix...around 3K...

Learned most of it developing my web site...

An excellent tool for getting file sizes down is Macromedia Fireworks. It has a nice interface so you can tune the compression and see the results. It can be done in many other programs like Photoshop, but Fireworks is the best and gives you the smallest files.

Spoken like a true wintel man...

hehehe

BTW....Graphic Converter is shareware...free for the unprincipled.....it also does most of what Photoshop does but not as seemlessly...
