Got the 66 coupe back from the paint shop and going to start reassembly soon. Which body bolts do you guys/gals prefer? I hate to use the tooth type washer on the fenders with new paint. I'm not looking for concours correct but I don't want to screw up the paint or retighten bolts every 6 months. Just looking for good quality and looks. Thanks for the insight.

Use either cut up spray paint caps shaped into washers or buy nylon washers and place them under the teeth.
That way you can move the fender while aligning without cutting into the paint.
You can leave them too. Really.

My bodyman used these tricky looking bolts. I don't know the name, but its not concourse, but it works really well. Its like he inserted a shell and then bolted a screw into the shell so the paint and all surrounding body would not get scratched. It holds strong, but I am curious how easily it can be removed?
