My '66 Mustang GT engine was modified to a HiPo 289 by Don Sanderson Ford in Glendale, AZ in '79. They did a very correct version by also adding the 9" rear and the correct 8 grand tach in the Rally Pac.
My question stems from the aluminum intake that is on it. It has the word Shelby in block letters and the number is S2MS 9424A. Is this an original Shelby intake?
From what info I can find, I think it is an original but is from a '67 instead?
Any help at all is appreciated.

"Shelby" branded parts are circa 1968-1970. They came from the Shelby parts department. They are similar to the Cobra branded stuff. Fomoco bought the name "Cobra" from Carroll in late 1967 or early 1968. So, Shelby just shifted his name onto the parts.
