Sorry to ask this here but I've exhausted my (limited) computer knowledge to no avail. A couple of days ago, SWMBO did something (who knows what?) that has changed the "opening" size of a new window. If I left-click a link the window opens "maximized" or what I consider normal. Now, however, when I right-click and "open new window", the new window opens "minimized". It's really just inconvenient to keep maximizing windows but I prefer them to open that way in the first place.

Had this same thing happen a year or so ago but for the life of me I can't remember how I fixed it. I'm running Windows 98 and IE 5.5. I would appreciate any assistance with this. TIA!

IE is supposed to just remember the window size from the last time it was used.

Open a page, set it to the size you like and close out all instances of IE, leaving your properly sized page for last. That should do it.

kktell's right. open once instance of ie, set it how you want it and close it... it should work. make sure ie isnt running somewhere else with an unmaximised window or something. good luck

Thanks, Kent. I thought I remembered it being a simple fix. LOL. I guess I wasn't doing the "closing" in the proper sequence. Seems to be working now, though /forums/images/icons/smile.gif.
