I went to the auto store and asked for a 1310 u-joint. They looked at me like I was on crack. I bought the larger of the 2 options for a 351C. I think I got the wrong one, but I want to be sure before I go back. My u-joint I bought was 3 7/8" across. Is that right for a 1310?

Please dont tell me to go measure the old one. It is at home and I am not, and I am liable to pull out your curlies (and I aint talking about the hair on top of your head).

After looking at the NPD catalog, I am pretty sure also. The NPD lists 2 u-joints... one is 3.623" and the other is 3.219".

Local parts store gave me a choice between 3 7/8" and 3 1/2".... which (oddly enough) doesnt correspond to NPD catalog.

I guess I go home and compare first hand...

According to NPD catalog a 1310 has an outside measurement of 3.219 inches

A 1330 has an outside measurement of 3.632 inches

None measure 3.88 inches

I believe most parts houses use the outer dimension of the yokes the ujoints press into.
