Since I got my '71 Mach 1 with 429 more than a month ago, I decided to take a look at P/S fluid level and it seems emptied. I don't have any problem with the steering so far. I wonder what would happen if I didn't fill up the fluid (Type F)? How much amount to fill up? Thanks.

I think the pump would burn up or go bad without fluid. Pull the dipstick and you will see a crosshatched area indicating the fill line. My '71 has a hot and cold fill line, you should have no problems filling it with a funnel, just add a little at a time.
Good luck.

Without fluid, the pump would burn up and seize, and end up tossing the belt, likely taking out the alternator/water pump belt with it.

If, for some reason, you don't have a dipstick attached to your PS pump cap, then fill it to the base of the fill neck, that's pretty close.
