Hello,

Could you all point me in the direction for paint and body in The Central Florida area?

I’ve got some minor metal work, that I want done correct. I would like to bring the finish in from bare metal as the second paint job was enough to preserve the original
steel, although by no means is anything I would consider spraying over.

My build is at shell, rolling chassis, and figure it be best to knock this stuff out now and then work out the remaining details along the way.

It’ll be nice to get some input from those whom have been down this road, and could maybe provide an honest reliable shop. My chassis builder whom is very honest and fair was unwilling to recommend anyone given the industry’s volatility.

Thanks in Advance.
TTS.

Well there’s Orlando Mustang who does premium work at Premium prices. There is also a place up in Ocala. more of a hobbiest shop than a full time paint and body shop. They have done many Mustangs and their work looks pretty good. I’ve chatted with them and the work looks good. They advertise on Facebook market a bit. I can find the contact info if you want.

Jeff Anderson Auto Body in Winter Springs. He is a one man shop who does excellent work at a fair price. I just had my 66FB project there for some paint corrections.

Depends on where you are located but in Port Richey there is Gillis Performance and he specializes in nothing but Mustangs. A lot of talent and they do everything from ground ups to Reso-Mods. Not cheap but you get what you pay for.

This is more my speed..

Nothing against the specialists, and resto shops, I‘m not their client.

Just looking for solid work, fair prices, with a finish that can be driven around and enjoyed.

I know this place, they do some sick stuff..

Didn’t guys used to hang around near that industrial park back in the 90’s, waiting for the street racing to start after midnight.

I grew up just North of that area.

Not sure of the midnight stuff but Rusty was a big Cobra Jet racer in the early days. They sure can build them.
