:loco:having a disputed discussion over what the orginal color paint should be on a 66 289 block. some say light blue,some say ford med blue or dark blue what do tou say.

ford corporate blue. plastikote 224 is a good rattle can substitute. ditzler 13358 for paint guns. the light blue was used on 64 1/2 air cleaners & valve covers only.

No definitive answer for this. That is the answer. The "Ford Corporate Blue" varies a shade lighter and a shade darker by plant...and by the time of year the car was built.

Agree 100% with the above post - plastikote 224 is a good rattle can substitute. ditzler 13358 for paint guns.

Whatever the case, It was definately not light blue. Medium maybe. Also, Original Engine paint fades and lightens over the years due to sunlight, detergents, oil, etc. Take that into account.
