I know there've been lots of posts on this board about getting leaves out of a classic mustang's cowl area. Now that I've got it clean, are there any tricks to painting this area? I don't want to end up with zebra stripes under there...

I did it with some krylon semi gloss paint. If you use a spray can paint just add the nozzle and tube from a brake cleaner can. I actually used vinal tube to connect two tubes together. I then stuck it in through the cowl vent. Work it to the outer edges and pull back toward you. Just don't pull too far. Done that been there. Actually didn't get the car bad, kind of sprayed across my face. The end is like a hose whipping. Worked very well in the end. I wanted to try it with the corollas paint from Eastwood. But have not had the chance.

I did the same using a spray can of Corroless. It worked very well.
