Hello,

I am still hung-up on what color a '66 289 is. I still believe that they were all light blue. Many people are saying corporate blue is the color. I need to see it on the engine.

Is there a photo/website that has a picture of a true 66 289?

Thanks, Greg.

My 66 w/289 still has the original paint on it (pretty sure)

Can't see much of it here... just the water pump.

Corporate (dark) blue is correct.

The correct color for all motors after '66 is Ford Corporate Blue. It is several shades darker than the medium blue found on 64.5' and earlier motors. The following pics are the correct shade of blue, but the paint is very fresh. it actually darkened a shade after it fully cured. hope this helps.

The incorrect medium blue is shown below:

ALL 1966 Ford engines are the darker Ford blue.

I've seen many, many 66 engines with original paint. The pictures Shannon showed you are correct (except for the engine with the generator...).

I've seen at least 3 shades of blue referred to as "corporate blue" - so I was never sure what that meant.

Duplicolor "old ford blue" comes pretty close for rattle can paint, IMO.
