I'm continuing my thread aimed at debating what you'd pick for your car.
Pick your short block The point of this isn't really about budget. All I'm asking is if you could chose anything, what would you choose and why?

It's just a what if, that's supposed to be fun :D

OK. So, Let's presume that we picked a 351w to drop into our 69 mach 1. What do you pick for cylinder heads?

If it is a windsor, Canfield or AFR. If it is a cleveland, the Motorsport Yates heads.

If I went Winsdor, I'd go with ported and coated Canfields or the 4 valve per cylinder windsor heads, I would build my own shortblock,
tall decked SVO siamesed bore racing block with the 4 bolt mains...

Ross forged pistons, total seal piston rings, good quality 4340 forged steel stroker crank (knife edged and balanced along with the cryo treatment) Pauter light weight rods.

studed mains, studed heads, windage tray, roller cam, roller shaft mount rockers all the coatings to boot.
