Greetings,

I have a 1967 Mustang and I am planning on doing a 1998 Ford Explorer Swap for the rear end. The question I have is about the opinion angle on the new rear. I have the old perches cut off the explorer read already. My question is it feasible to take the angle off the old rear and use that? Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated.

Thanks

I think its 5*. I would probably put in the rear end, jack it up until the suspension is fully compressed, and then tack weld it.

Keep in mind the axle offset is greater on the Explorer which compounds the U joint angle. You now have a compound angle and that will be greater then just the vertical angle.

I put mine at 5* like the old 8". No issues...
