it should have 1 degree tip dowm and the drive shaft has 3 degress running to the pinion

and that is done at ride hight

Expanding, I've not been too concerned with the gross driveshaft angle; rather the parallism of the transmission tailshaft and differential pinion (centerlines). On a leaf spring car without a 4 link/ladder bar, I always ran 1 to 1.5 degrees "down" (meaning down from parallel) on the rear pinion to offset climb under power.
