Thanks in advance for any help you can offer. I have been restoring a 67 fastback for the last 10 years. I am finally getting close and have begun wiring. I went to investigate the neutral safety switch and have found that the C6 installed doesn't seem to have any place to mount the switch. The shift lever and kick down are also positioned for a column shift. I think I can address the levers easy enough. This transmission obviously came out of a column shift car or truck.

I have a center console, so I would rather not use an after market shifter. I am also not real thrilled about the idea of having to pull the engine/tranny and buy another transmission just to install a neutral safety switch.

Were there any years the mustang had a neutral safety switch installed on the floor shifter? Does anyone have any work-around alternatives?
