I have my heater core bypassed and would like to make it permanent. I'm looking to plug the outlet that goes from my water pump to the heater core. Do they make a clamp on rubber plug for this, and where can i buy it?

I have seen a rubber cap avail in 5/8, 1/2, 3/4 that fits over the outlet and secure it with a regular hose clamp.Available at most auto parts stores.

All of the racing pumps have pipe taps where the cast in snouts are for your heater hoses. Of course you'll have to spend another $200 to get those.....

I always thought that you could not block the heater in and out or it would overheat. That sounds like a mod that I want to do if it will work. BTW 289 w/ aluminum water pump. fd

I found them at my local parts store on the "revolving rack"
they are called inlet plugs. Work great!
