Is it possible to strip paint from fiberglass sail panels in order to repaint? If so what’s the process?

Media blasting using baking soda works well for fiberglass.

Some people have had good results using "EasyOff" oven cleaner and plastic bags to prevent drying. I think you had to use the regular version and not the odor free one. Make sure to use a bristle brush or the like and not sand paper to preserve the texture.

If you mean interior quarter trim, I used ACE-brand citrus-based paint remover. They were black (at least 3 coats) and I did use a stiff toothbrush in some places.

They're now white. Did two coats, but one coat covered well.

I’ll have to look and see if the local hardware store carry’s that ACE brand paint remover, didn’t think of a stiff toothbrush, that’s a good idea

All I can find for “orange” based is a product called citristrip but says do not use on plastics or fiberglass?

I’ve used the old ez off formula and it worked well. Did a couple of applications and scrubbed using a small brush and it removed just about all of the previous paint jobs. I’ve heard the ez off you get now however is not the same. Haven’t tried it personally.

I must say though, the panels in woodchucks post look darn good.
