I have read that the difference is the finish. The newer ones have a generally better finish where you cannot make out the fiberglass strands and the underside has a much rougher finish

If it was off an original the hood would have hood pin holes.

Are you going to run it without a front bumper? It looks like the holes have been filled where the brackets go. That might look cool. I suppose you could paint it like that and cut the holes later if you dont like it. HMMM.....
