That's how it happens. Get a bid of $1000 to install convertible top, find out parts are $270, and whalla, your a convertible top expert. Or headliner, whatever the case may be.
Any tips you can pass on from this experience? I'll be doing mine here shortly and would like to know if there was anything you learned during the install (that you didn't already know from previously asking)?
If you have an aptitude for that, your should trade services with mustangers in your area.....Headliners are a tricky deal that many people shy away from, and are likely to farm out ( I did to the tune of $250). You could make some good in-kind trades this way......
