I'd definitely recommend the Griffin aluminum radiator and the SPAL fan. I haven't heard anyone yet that wasn't satisfied with that combo. I'd also recommend getting it from VMFs very own Street Or Track.

Of course, it might be worthwhile determining why your existing radiator blew up -- just exactly what do you mean by blew up, anyway? Is it physically deformed now? Didn't the radiator cap let off the pressure?

You may want to check with Crites Restorations as they are Ford specialists and offer Howe aluminum radiators and the installation kits for Mustangs at around $300. I installed this in the Fastback and used a regular type fan which was correctly positioned with a 1" fan spacer. Initially the fan was the stock 289 4 blade, but I later went to a 7 blade Flex-a-lite mounted on the same 1" spacer.
