I just bought some 600# springs and they are powder coated blue, what's the best way to get the blue color off?

You can do what Boss351 said, or you can paint right over it. I tried to get powder coating off with sandpaper and it is nearly impossible.

Powercoat makes the best undercoat protector if it's not the color you want. Scuff it up a little and paint right over it

Well, if you want to get rid of the coating... don't burn it off... It might change properties of the steel if you heat it up (of course this only applies if you are using a torch). That is why they don't recommend you use a cutting torch to cut a coil off a spring to lower the front end... It might just make your car ride funny. Anyway, you have the option of painting over it or sandblasting it off. Good luck!!!
