What is the correct power steering fluid in a 1965 Ford type unit? Is it okay to use Ford Type F
transmission fluid??

THanks

That's what I've always been using, also. I've never had a problem using ATF.

If I recall correctly, the Ford spec for F-type ATF is M2C33. For the power steering it's not the same Ford spec but I think it's safe to use F-type in there. F-type is suitable for srew-type compressors not unlike the power steering pump.

I adhered to the VMF collective wisdom. For my '70, I decided to use type F tranny fluid for my power steering fluid.
