I noticed a power steering leak on my 73 so I tightened the hose and fitting on the back of the pump. Only made it worse.... Does the fitting require Teflon tape?

The pressure hose uses an o-ring. The return hose slips on over a nipple. The pressure line runs THROUGH the reservoir and has a gasket on the INSIDE of the reservoir.

Look underneath where the hoses go through the two-hole rubber grommet. They're supposed to move freely, back and forth... count on about 3" from stop right to stop left. If the hoses are tight in the grommet, especially the pressure hose, it'll kink and force fluid out at the first leak it can find... and if it can't find one it'll make one where the hose kinks. Ask me how I know... where's that tee shirt...
