If you want to use the factory setup, then yes you will need a bunch of "special" parts like the centerlink, p/s pump and bracket, hoses, power ram, power ram bracket, the crush nuts that mount to the sub frame rail, inner and outer LH tie rod plus the adjuster. You can use a later power steering pump and bracket ('66-'67) but you must stick with the '65/'66 center link, power ram and tie rods.

The center link with the control valve is the expensive part. Some places require you to have a core. Although the steering boxes were different from the manual steering cars (different ratios) it is not necessary to change if you don't want to.

There are aftermarket systems to such as TCP's power steering rack which is around $1,600 I've heard.

I've heard of some folks stuff an intergral P/S box in a '65 'Stang but that gets into fabrication - something you wouldn't want an ordinary auto repair place to attempt.
