When filling the pump out of the car, can I stand it on end and fill or should the fluid level be level with the fill hole when laying flat like the pump was installed?

Guess my question is can I over fill the pump? TIA

Don't know if it will hurt it being filled on end, but I didn't take any chances and filled mine in the position it is supposed to be in.

I did the same, filled it while it was flat in the regular position.

While it is easier to fill it while on end, you could overfill it and blow the seals or lock it up if you buttoned it up while still on end. It's a bit of a mess but filling it horizontally, like you will when it is in the car, would be better in my experience. Or fill it and then ease it down so excess comes out of the fill hole.

Fill it in the position it gets operated in. It easy, use a oil squirt pump can, fill with fluid & squirt it in.
