I am going to put seam sealer on my cowl replacement. My question is do I put down the epoxy primer first then the sealer or put the sealer down first. Thanks for any help. Tom

Epoxy first.

It will seal up the metal and prevent rust. If you dont epoxy first, the seam sealer can dry out and crack and water can get down to unprotected metal.

I would epoxy prime first then seam seal, cure then prime again.

That is why todays cars rot out so fast, the factory built in a time limit to the cars just by not priming first. Example: Look on the bottom of the doors of a 4 yr old car, rust in the pinch weld, pull on the pealing sealer and there is bare metal.
