Well, here is a summary of what I have been up to for the last 3 - 4 days.

Installed new freeze plugs
Installed Motor Mounts
Painted Headers (POR-20 - wow, this stuff goes far, I ordered a pint and I painted the headers, h-pipe, and y-pipes and used about 1/3rd of the can. Enough to complete the exhaust system!) and installed headers
Cleaned and painted export brace
Cleaned, painted and installed starter
Bead blasted, painted, installed battery support and tray
Installed Shelby Valence
Installed E-brake handle and cable
Installed Speedometer cable
Installed engine harness, including new tie downs and plastic wrap
Installed 100 amp circuit breaker and accessory fuse panel (both mounted below started solenoid)
Wired up fuel pump and stereo amplifier
Installed throttle linkage
Installed fuel line from fender well to carb
Installed headlamp, horn, switched 12v relays (4) (Headlight relays inside pass side headlight bucket, horn and switched 12 volt next to starter solenoid)
Installed parking lamp diodes (so they are on when the headlights are on)
Installed wiper motor and linkage
Cleaned and painted alternator

The car is really starting to take shape. SWMBO and junior are starting to really comment/look at what I have done.
Also, upon inspecting the carb, I noticed that I had a vacuum leak. One of the caps on the carb was cracked so badly, that it leaked. I suspect that the car will run a little better. Also, PCV valve was totally thrashed, so I am heading over to Mustangs and More today to pick up a new hose, PCV valve, water pump bolt set and 'rent' a seat (so I can drive the car to the body shop and recover mine while the car is being buffed/touched up).

I think the motor will fire Thursday. First time will be headers and H-pipe only, and I will try to record the sound (hehehe).

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I WILL BE READY FOR FFF !!!!!!!!!!!!!

By Shelby Valence, do you mean an R-model Shelby front valence? If so, who's is it and how did it fit?
Thanks,
Jim
