We may need to put our heads together on a dual latch deal. Not that I’m totally against the pins, just rather have that as a plan B instead of A.
My county is too poor to afford a sheriff. It’s the Wild West over here.

Trunk, rear frame rails, rear trunk brace and wheel housings were next. They weren't too bad, but figured if I was already doing this much I may as well replace it all with new metal. Again, one side at a time starting with the rails.

Wow.... what a great project! I can see you would have to have the welding skills for such an extensive restore, and patients lol...

Thanks! I had welding experience but didn't specialize in the craft. Lots of practice and endless research on how and what to do. When I started taking it apart and saw how bad it was I actually lost sleep for about three months thinking about what to do. The VMF community was awesome and walked me through many stages. From there, it was just one bite of the elephant at a time as I like to say. What really kept me going were the people who said I'd fail and never complete the car.

I have some updates to share when the weather breaks too. They are never "done" lol.
