Spent about the last half hour going through your build. Great work!
Thanks! Been a lot of hours on weekends solo in my garage but finally seeing the end. Will be back to it once the car comes home after paint.

I just wanted to add that to see a two year span on one page of the build let's me know you've been busy with life. Kudos, life comes first!

Getting two promotions at work, boat in summer and 9 yr old things get busy. Family first, but I do have to say, the body guy has had the car for just under a year now so not much to report since he took it lol Hopefully next set of pics I post is the car in primer :pirate:

So my paint guy has had the car quite some time now but is exceptionally close to shooting it. Having a full time job, grandkids, other projects etc hasn't helped him finish it by our deadlines, but it has given me time to get some larger bits finished so they are ready to install once the car returns. Hopefully next time I post there will be color on the car. Here are some updated body and engine pics.

She does look good up there! Yeah, I keep hoping the next post is color too.... Believe me, when she's back in my hands is honey badger assembly time.

Maybe we'll see you on the skid pad at an event next year! I know I burned off 3/32 drifting round it last Sunday!

I plan on it, or at least cars/coffee over there if the world allows by then. Either way we'll have to meet up over there or toward's Valpo.

Very close lol My body guy had a medical scare that put things on hold for a tad. Luckily he's good and is cranking away. ETA now end of Oct.

Wow, you have done a lot of work on this car. I hate to admit I would most likely never have had the willpower to continue once I saw all the rust damage. Hats off to you for sticking with it and bringing this car back to life. (y)

Wow, you’ve done a great job! I love your jig for the front end, would have been a big help for my build 😅
Love the colour choice too! It’s going to look great, I hope you’re proud of the work you’ve done! You’re further along than mine, though hopefully I’ll be moving to paint soon 🤞

Thanks! Definitely been a long road but almost there. He finally shot the outside and is finishing up the cut/buff. After he puts the headlight buckets, valence etc. bits back on it comes home for assembly. Here's a couple quick shots from last week.

Happy to say the pony is back in its stable!!

I spent the evening cleaning out the inside of all compound and filler dust. I've forgotten what a mess cut/buff and sanding makes. It's everywhere but should clean up pretty easy. Found a couple of spots that need attention paint wise, but he said bring it back when I'm ready and after he heals from knee surgery, and he'll correct.

I also removed the dash harness in prep to send Midlife's way (Welcome to Midlife Harness Restorations). While that's off, I think i'll start with some shiny bits (bumpers, some emblems, grill etc.) so I can clear out boxes from my basement. Rear brakes, lines and fuel system after.

I won't be short of work for sure!
